Edge Products has just released the new version of the 7.3L Edge Evolution. About 3 years ago, Edge released a similar “evolution” for the Ford F-150 gas engine pickup with way more features than the evolution for the diesel pickup. The Evolution for the diesel pickup was simply a programmer that was removed after the program was installed. The original Evolution for the diesel was the best in its class not only because of the great performance but because of the one of a kind diagnostic tool. See, all of the previous programmers left you to lookup the diagnostic codes in their manual. Edge took the right step in giving you the code definition right on the monitor.

This new Evolution programmer however, mounts more aerodynamically on to your dash and looks much like the Edge Attitude Monitor that would normally go with the Edge Juice box. The new Edge Evolution stays plugged in to give you the following features while you are on the go:

• ¬†Reads and Displays EGT’s
• Displays Alerts and records RPM, MPH and EGT info
• Datalogs vital engine information
• Adjusts shift points and pressure
• Adjusts speed and rev limiter

This new unit has three power levels similar to the old one and provides up to 100HP and 200Ft/Lbs of Torque. Just like everything else these days, the Evolution can connect to the internet for updates. Again, this unit is for the 1999-2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel.
