I went with my Fiance, Nichelle to the April 2007 Dyno Event hosted by DynoMite Diesel in Monroe, Wasthington. It was grand, and probably the best dyno event that I have ever been to. Several Ford, Dodge, and Chevy diesel owners from around the northwest showed up to see what their trucks would do on the dyno. There were some really good looking, tricked out trucks there as well.
The line to get on the dyno went way out to the street. This truck in the picture to the right puffed black smoke even when it was idleing. There was the perfect blend of trucks there on Saturday. Everything from stock to extreme customization on the inside and out. It was AWESOME!
Richard Madsen from Mad Dog Motorsports was there with one of my favorite trucks on the dyno and on the drag strip. The reason that I like this truck so much is that not only does it have a Cummins, but it doesnt even look like a race truck. Its a 1995 Ford F350, Crew Cab, with a modified Cummins Engine. Richard put out 915 Horsepower and 1569 ft lbs of torque. To read more about this truck go to their Blog
Richards truck was not even the fastest rig out there on saturday. The all time champion of the 2007 DynoMite Diesel Dyno was Chris Werner in a 2001 Dodge. Chris put out 1218 Horsepower and 2000+ ft. lbs. of torque! The reason I say 2000+ is that the Dyno only reads up to 2000 ft lbs and Chris went higher than that. Chris filled the shop full of smoke with his big stacks so badly that people were evacuating. When Chris pulled his truck out of the cloud boy was he proud! (I could have sworn that I took several pictures of his truck but when I got home, there were none)
I really had a great time. There was great fun, great food and great people. I hope DynoMite does another one nest year!
